In a surprising collaboration that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine cult.
The mission focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an special katana alongside several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
