Iran is willing to restart nuclear discussions with Washington as long as it is approached with "dignity" and "honor", Tehran's foreign minister has announced.

The Iranian diplomat declared solely negotiations worked, and shared new appeals had been made by mediators to resume negotiations with the Trump administration. He asserted Iran possessed no secret atomic facilities, and Tehran could not yet permit the International Atomic Energy Agency to access bombed nuclear sites for protective measures.

Navigating a Challenging Route

Araghchi is navigating a challenging path since Iran wishes not to be seen to be operating from a stance of weakness, and he emphatically stated that Iran had arisen stronger in military terms and mentally from the joint assault on its nuclear sites in June.

He was speaking at a strategic meeting in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "an absolute privilege to enrich uranium domestically that it will perpetually retain" – the main reason of the stalemate in the prior discussions.

Earlier Talks Suddenly Concluded

The previous five rounds of negotiations between the US and Iran were brought to an abrupt and hostile end on 12 June when Israel, with US support, targeted Tehran's atomic facilities in a two-week conflict that culminated with the American leader asserting the sites had been destroyed. Afterward, Western states used their right to reimpose international penalties, but Iran maintains they have not had a significant effect.

Perfect Agreement Suggested

Iran's diplomats said they felt they had reached a "ideal resolution" to the nuclear fuel concern in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with US participation could refine atomic fuel. The two nations would have been able to claim victory since domestic enrichment would have continued and the US could be assured that Iran's nuclear programme was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been settled in the discussions that US nuclear scientists could function inside Iran, but that was a natural consequence of the consortium proposal. Representatives stated on multiple occasions they had achieved a deal with Washington's diplomat Steve Witkoff only for the deal to fall apart due to "opponents in the US".

Current Situation

Tehran representatives stated the consortium offer was now off the table, but it seems highly likely the proposal could be resurrected in some form if discussions reopen.

Trump last week said he had been receiving messages that Iran sought to reopen negotiations, but in private Iran's diplomats claim they are not yet getting consistent overtures from the United States either straightforwardly or from significant local go-betweens, such as Qatar, Egypt, the Omani authorities and the Saudi kingdom. The Tehran's diplomatic corps has been criticized of non-responsiveness in the wake of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Iran states diplomacy is not part of a performance.

Political Position

In his address to the forum, aimed to paint the US as a hegemonic power that abuses the idea of global regulations, the foreign minister stated the two-week conflict showed the clash could not be settled by armed force. He asserted the assaults began with a US demand for an unconditional Iranian surrender and concluded with an complete request for a truce.

Iran is certain the opening assaults from Tel Aviv were executed with total Washington understanding and coordination, making trust challenging to reestablish.

Negotiations Remains the Ultimate Answer

The foreign minister stated: "Tehran was not the one that had fled diplomacy; it was the United States and the European states that had consistently attempted to enforce their demands during the negotiations. Repair and Recovery

In what is portrayed by Tehran representatives as the battle of repair and rebuilding, Araghchi said he was confident Iran's defence capabilities "are considerably enhanced than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. He stated: "We successfully passed this engagement. Our atomic expertise, which they aimed to eliminate, stays intact. The sites and equipment, if damaged, will be restored; what is crucial is the resolve of the Iranian people and then the unity of the country that they targeted, but did not succeed to break. The citizens of Tehran have grown stronger, more cohesive, and more supportive of the administration and the nation in the wake of this assault."
